Mentions that there are both English and German Methodists in his area, and comments on the progress of the church in nearby Lehigh County; the near completion of a church in Allentown; and receiving help from Methodists who had arrived from New Jersey. Also discusses his health and feelings of faith. Also mentions presiding under [B?] Higgins. A second folder contains a photocopy and a transcription of the letter. The transcription was made by the Department of Special Collections at Brigham Young University.
